It means that, when a worker touches the powder, it becomes a “carrier”, delivering Termidor termite dust to other termites via feeding and contact, spreading it like a virus throughout the colony.

Termidor termite dust treatment DIY

According to Termidor DRY label, it can be applied into wall voids, shelter tunnels and galleries, nests and other inaccessible areas of utility poles, buildings, decking materials, trees, piers, fencing, railroad trestles, beams and other structural lumbers or landscape timbers where termite damage and activity are observed or suspected.

If required, gain access to void or gallery by drilling into it. Openings should be drilled approximately every 20-24 inches or into each void. Multiple injection points for each void, carton or gallery may be required. Do not apply more than 5 g (25.0 mg of fipronil per active infestation) per 1,000 sq. ft. of total internal surface area of the gallery, nest chamber or carton, void.

This Termidor termite dust can be used again to previously treated sites in 30 days after previous application, if wood pests are still present to that area.

How to apply Termidor DRY for subterranean termites DIY

For termite galleries and shelter mud-tubes use 0.1 – 1 g per an injection point. For carton and nests apply 0.3 – 3 g per an injection point. For voids use 0.2 – 2 g per an injection point. Note that 3 ball compressions of the application device delivers 0.1 g of powder.

How to apply DIY Termidor DRY for drywood termites

For drywood termite infestations, it is necessary to apply 0.1 – 1 g per an injection point in wood. Note that 3 bulb compressions of the applicator delivers 0.1 g of Termidor powder.

In simple words, if you want to apply diy termidor dry treatment, you follow the steps as desribed below:

1. tapping the walls and structure in search of voids (cartons and galleries),
2. drilling the holes in walls or on wood structure,
3.  placing the tip of Termidor termite dust application device into the opening of the hole,
4.  squeezing the ball of the applicator for 3 – 30 times,
5.  going to the next hole.
